BIOGRAPHY
Zion Claude, a graduate of Virginia State University with a degree in Political Science, served as a Partnerships & Intern Engagement Assistant Intern at Rocky Mountain National Park through the HBCUI Internship Program in 2024. Prior to her internship, Zion gained valuable experience as a Grassroots Organizing Fellow and legislative intern, opportunities that strengthened her commitment to public service, civic engagement, and environmental stewardship.
Her passion for conservation and community engagement led her to Rocky Mountain National Park, where she supported partnership-building initiatives and intern engagement efforts while gaining firsthand experience within the National Park Service. Through her work, Zion contributed to programs designed to strengthen connections between the park, its partners, and the public.
Reflecting on her internship experience, Zion expressed enthusiasm for applying her interest in environmental advocacy within the National Park Service while helping preserve America’s natural and cultural resources. The experience provided valuable professional development and reinforced her interest in public service and conservation-focused careers.
