Eboni Preston Goddard, PhD

Eboni Preston Goddard, PhD serves as the HBCUI Program Lead, where she oversees day-to-day program operations, internship coordination, partner engagement, participant support, and strategic program development. With a professional background spanning workforce development, nonprofit leadership, higher education, conservation, and public service, Eboni brings more than a decade of experience managing programs that connect students and young professionals with meaningful educational and career opportunities. She works closely with National Park Service staff, partner organizations, mentors, and interns to ensure participants receive the guidance, resources, and support needed to succeed throughout their internship experience.

In addition to her work with HBCUI, Eboni has held leadership positions with organizations including the National Parks Conservation Association and Greening Youth Foundation and serves as an adjunct professor in higher education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University, a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, both an MBA and MPA from Kennesaw State University, a certificate in Business Analytics from the Wharton School, and a PhD in Environmental Policy from Southern University and A&M College. Outside of work, Eboni enjoys hiking, reading, fitness, and exploring public lands, and she remains committed to helping students build pathways toward impactful careers and lifelong service.
